"I have found that all ugly things are made by those who strive to make something beautiful, and that all beautiful things are made by those who strive to make something useful." Oscar Wilde
I've started a new project. It is well out of my comfort zone. The sewing part won't be that difficult. It's the color combinations. Sarah loves orange! I'm not an orange person. I prefer deep dark red. Here is a link to the tutorial for Sarah's quilt. We picked out different several fat quarters of oranges, yellows, and blues. I hope my quilt turns out as good as the picture above.
This is a quilt that I just finished for my brother, Sam and his wife, Miyuki. Miyuki is from Japan. Several months ago I called her and asked her what her favorite color was. I think the quilt turned out very nicely. I hope they like it. It has a heavy dark blue flannel backing which I found very soft and warm as I had the quilt spread out over me as I was finishing the binding.
When I fly out to Missouri this week, where they live, I will be taking it with me. I’ve stuffed it into a carryon bag. And unless Sam and Miyuki look at this blog they won’t know it’s coming.

When Faith Edures
I will not doubt I will not fear, God's love and strength are always near, His promised gifts help me to find An inner strength and peace of mind. I give the Father willingly, my trust, my prayers, humility. I give the Father willingly, the spirit guides, His love assures, that fear departs when faith endures I will not doubt I will not fear, God's love and strength are always near, when faith endures
