Tulum, The Land Bountiful


At the top of this building are three doors. Above the doors are three bas relief sculptures. The first is the ascending God, The Father. The second is the descending God, The Son. And the third is blank, The Holy Ghost.

Imagine this space packed with homes, markets, and people. Picture daily routines and children running and laughing.

This photograph is right on the beach. I found the rocks, plants, and sand especially lovely.











This sculpture was on the corners of a building. At first I didn’t see the carvings. It wasn’t until I came back a second time did I actually see the images. Below is the complete building. All of the buildings in Tulum were adorned similarly with carvings.
