Friday morning we left the state and haven't looked back since. We drove up to Custer, SD to see our daughter and her husband who are working at a boyscout ranch this summer. We had a wonderful time with them. On the way we misted the right turnoff outside of Rawllins, WY. Instead of taking the road that lead to Martin's Cove we wound up on a dirt road going over the mountain. The rain came down and the road got slippery. Sometimes there was a drop off on one side of the road. By the time we found somebody who knew where we were, we were half way to civilization again. It seamed pointless to turn around and go back so we pushed on. Our GPS said that it was a shorter road. Between a slick and windy road I'm not sure. Anyway it was an adventure.
There is a park outside Gallatin, Mo that I just love. It is so peaceful there. We walk there taking pictures and sat just listening and thinking for about an hour or two. The following pictures are a few of the treasures I found there.
