Pictures From My Baby's Wedding

Every time I went to snap a cute, funny, or interesting pictures from Sarah's wedding the same somebody would stand right in front of my camera without any concern as to who was behind trying to take a picture. I even tried several times to stand on a chair to get a shot and this same somebody still would move right in front of the camera just as I clicked! Let's just say that by the third time this happened I just put my camera away. I hope my kids were able to take some pictures. I have more shots of the back of somebody's head than I care to have!

I Have Started a New Project

It has taken some time but I am now starting Lillie's quilt. I've only had the top finished and ready to quilt for four years now. I've got it on the frames and have finished outlining the bottom row. We'll see how it goes and how long it will take me to finish it.

Aaaaah!!!!!

This morning I woke up to this! I am so tired of snow. It's April and time for spring and sunshine.

































My Kinders and I are tired of inside recess, wet shoes, wet pants, wet gloves, and cold noses. I found this poem to explain how we feel.

Rainbow Blizzard

We were tired of winter days,
Being cold and wet and gray.
So we talked to winter's wizard.
He made it snow a rainbow blizzard.

This is the rainbow blizzard we made in hopes that spring would soon be here. We used red, yellow, blue, green, orange, and purple markers on coffee filters. Then I sprayed them with water and let them dry. The next day I folded the filters and let the children cut out their own snowflakes. One little guy thought he had destroyed his snowflake and had thrown it out. After much asking of what happened somebody rescued the snowflake from the garbage can. After carefully unfolding and gluing it on a piece of paper a beautiful and delicate snowflake appeared. It was one of the most intricate snowflakes I’ve ever seen anybody make. I’m so glad we were able to rescue it.

My Baby Is Getting Married

When Sarah was born she was such a beautiful baby. She had thick dark brown hair with little curls all around her face and big blue eyes. She was born on March 1st which is St David's Day in Wales where my family came from. Not knowing this we gave her a Welsh middle name which means "beloved". So we always called her "Princes Beloved One."



There is another side to Sarah. For the last two summers she was the aquatics counselor and a Boy Scout camp. Sarah is about 5’3” and had to tell Scout Masters and boys much bigger than her what and when they could and could not do things in the water. There is a side to Sarah that isn’t to girly. She knows how to hold her own when needed.
